Easter decorations you will love this spring (incl. DIY)

Easter is more than just a holiday, it's a celebration of spring, with warmer weather and blooming flowers; and right after the spring cleaning is done, it's time to bring out the Easter decorations. How festive you want to make it is up to you, but fresh flowers, fresh and light linens and at least one or two bunny accents will make your home a happier place.
As with decorating for any other holiday, we like Easter decorations to be something you can enjoy for months, such as plaid placemats and pastel-colored candles with a few spicy items like hand-painted eggs and embroidered cocktail napkins with bunnies. That way, you can layer your table for Easter brunch and then enjoy a brighter, spring-colored home all season long without feeling suffocated by the holiday. Here are some ideas:
Tulip Magnolia Branches
Use them as a centerpiece or entryway display as they exude the idea of spring’s arrival.
Caterpillar Clear Glass Bud Vases
For a unique way to show off your buds individually try this 'Caterpillar Vase' set. Mix color and floral variety or go for a monochromatic look for your table display.

Fancy Taper Candles
Pretty pastel taper candles add spring color to the table and a lovely glow to any room.
Mixed Egg Decorations
An effortless assortment of glass and white, speckled eggs can be hung around the home or thrown in a bowl.

Outdoor Easter Wreath
Floral wreaths are one of the easiest ways to bring some spring color to the home. Just choose a color palette that complements your front door - et voilá!
Indoor Easter Wreath
Don't think that Easter wreaths are only for the outdoors. You can also craft and incorporate anything from bunnies with pompoms to fluffy chicks into your design without fear of bad weather throwing a spanner in the works.
Reuse egg shells for eco-friendly decor
With sustainability and environmental issues never more pertinent, eggs can make a great budget-friendly DIY decoration. You could use metallic and pastel coloured paints to decorate the egg shells and arrange them in a basket, or even the egg box they came in.
Easter-themed napkin arrangements

Napkins are a staple of any Easter dinner, so why not make 2022 the year you challenge yourself to try something a little different with your table linen? After all, it's all in the details—and sitting down to a place-setting that features a perfectly folded napkin will wow your guests no-end.
While there are some great YouTube tutorials that show you how to create an origami-style bunny napkin, I love the simplicity of the idea below. Twist your linen napkin into a long sausage, fold in half and tie with twine just below the centerpoint. Place a boiled egg in the middle to help your bunny ears retain their shape and, if you want, add a small sprig of fresh flowers for an even cuter seasonal finish.
Easter themed linens
Treating your home to Easter themed linens and soft furnishings are another great way to embrace the season. From bunny cushions to pastel-colored tea towels, there are all sorts of ways you can do it.
Pastel-colored towels, tea towels, bathmats and other soft furnishings don’t have to be covered in bunny rabbits, but will still help to keep the Easter theme running throughout the house. Remember, when adding soft furnishings in the house, you don’t have to have the exact same colour throughout, but make sure they compliment each other well so the theme runs smoothly room to room.

Paper egg decorations
For a relatively fuss-free DIY project you can try to create some simple paper eggs. These easy Easter decorations can be easily incorporated into your existing decor plans, whether they're hung in a window or used to decorate a tree.
This project is inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of påskris. You can join in this Scandinavian tradition by gathering the tools and materials listed below and crafting your own 3D paper egg and feather ornaments. Glad Påsk (Happy Easter)!
Tools
Scissors or craft knife
Curling Tool
Small Binder Clips
Plastic Palette Knife or Flat Paintbrush
Materials
Cardstock Paper
Embroidery Floss or thread- DMC
Yes! Paste or Craft Tacky Glue
Steps

Gather tools and materials. Cardstock paper tends to work better for the ornaments than text weight, though they will be harder to fold. Use a bone folder or LG curling tool to help smooth down the edges.
Cut out egg shapes from paper with a score line down the middle.
Fold the paper eggs in half lengthwise, matching up the edges as close as possible. You will need six for one egg ornament.
Apply an even layer of glue to half of one egg (a plastic palette knife is useful for this). A little bit of glue goes a long ways. Attach to another egg half, carefully lining up the edges and spines.
While there are many different Easter decoration ideas to choose from, there are a few Easter classics that can be relied on time after time. These include:
Arrangements of spring flowers
Easter motifs, such as eggs, chicks and bunnies
Bunting
However, creating your own Easter decor traditions is all part of the fun. Whether you choose to create personalized Easter baskets or decorate your mantelpiece, there are plenty of great ways you can decorate your home for Easter 2022.
